Overview of Sealy Posturepedic Plus Mattresses
The Sealy Posturepedic Plus line is a range of innerspring mattresses that are at the top end of Sealy. They start at just under $1,000 and the two more entry-level models feature the DuraFlex Edge, 4 vertical handles, and the Sealy Response Pro Encased Coil with zoned support. The higher-end models have the DuraFlex Pro Edge, vertical handles, and the Sealy Response Pro HD Encased Coil with zoning. All the models have varying layers of Sealy's foams that provide different comfort levels.
They all have the ComfortLoft Knit Cover with Chill & AllergenGuard, along with FlameGuard Fiber, which would act as a fire barrier.
The three models at the top tier of this line (the Barrett Courts) are considered hybrid-lite beds because they're designed with more gel memory foam to give them that conforming hybrid feel, but they don't have a true hybrid build (a 50/50 foam and innerspring combo).

Posturepedic Plus Mattresses Provide Extra Support in the Middle
There is additional support added to the center third of each Posturepedic Plus mattress. This is where the heaviest part of the body lays, so it helps support the lower back better.
Adjustable Base Compatible
Sealy Posturepedic Plus mattresses can be used with an adjustable base, which is useful for a lot of purposes. An adjustable base can adjust your position to one that reduces snoring and can make it easier to do activities in bed such as working or watching tv. They're very helpful for people who have to spend a lot of time in bed for health reasons as well. They can be purchased along with a mattress or on their own.
Delivery Method
Sealy Posturepedic mattresses are available in select stores or online, but not directly from Sealy. They're usually delivered by a retailer’s delivery service with the options of free front-door delivery or paying for in-home setup with old mattress removal.
More about Sealy
Sealy is one of the oldest and largest mattress companies in America and is best known for its Posturepedic mattresses and blue butterfly logo. A few years ago, it was purchased by Tempur-Pedic along with its sister brand, Stearns & Foster. Today the combined public company is called Tempur-Sealy and is the largest mattress company in the world.
Sealy continues to make a wide range of mattresses, from entry-level mattresses costing a few hundred dollars to mattresses priced to a couple thousand. There are literally tens of millions of Sealy mattresses in use and it remains one of the most popular and widely used beds in America.
ConclusionSealy Posturepedic Plus mattresses are innerspring beds with a variety of comfort levels at mid-range prices. They're the premium end of Sealy's mattresses, with some really high-quality foams. The three Barrett Court mattresses are considered "hybrid-lite" beds as they aren't true hybrids but are designed to have the conforming feel of a hybrid. The coil systems are very good, they have encased coils that provide precise, contouring support. And they have zoning, which means there's added support in the center third of the bed to give the lower back better support. There's edge support to make the entire surface sleepable and the edge better for sitting on. There are even handles on all the mattresses to make it easier to get the mattress in place and rotate it. |
